Job description
SimIS in support of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land-Maritime Norfolk, provides on-call Program Management Office services (sustainment, modernization, cybersecurity, systems integration, engineering, and data analytics) for DLA's Material Operations Support (MOS) application for material procurement processes and shipyard operations. SimIS seeks a part-time DevOps Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain efficient deployment pipelines and system monitoring solutions. In this role, you will work in a Scrum Agile environment to support continuous integration and delivery, automate workflows, and manage infrastructure in both on-premise and cloud environments. This position offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools while contributing to mission-critical solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced setting., + Implement architecture for continuous integration and deployment, and monitoring.

Execute Scrum Agile methodology and implement DevOps methodologies at the project level.

Serve as the administrator of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment.

Debug cluster-based computing architecture.

Use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.

Install and administer monitoring tools and configuration management tools (e.g., TFS, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Logical Volume Manager (LVM).
Requirements

5 years of relevant experience.

BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with Scrum Agile methodology and implementing DevOps methodologies at project levels.

Experience with deployments with on premise or cloud environments.

Experience deploying and configuring DevOps services.

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket, OpenShift).

Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure SA, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
