Job description
We are hiring a Computer Systems Analyst to study, evaluate, and improve the
computer-based data processing systems behind both platforms. This is an
analytical role - not a development role. We are not looking for a software
developer. We are looking for someone who can assess how our systems serve the
business, identify where they fall short, and produce the structured
specifications and recommendations that guide improvements.
You will work across both systems simultaneously - understanding their, Systems Assessment
- Analyze and document the current architecture of both the WooCommerce B2B
platform and the Shopify B2C platform - including data flows, user workflows,
inventory integrations, and processing gaps
- Gather structured requirements from operations staff, wholesale account
managers, and retail customers
- Produce formal system documentation: data flow diagrams, architecture
summaries, gap analyses
System Design & Improvement
- Translate business requirements into formal system specifications and design
documents ready for implementation by a developer or vendor
- Design improvements to the B2B account onboarding workflow to reduce
activation friction and increase platform adoption among wholesale accounts
- Identify and specify system-level solutions for subscription conversion,
checkout completion, and returning customer retention on the B2C platform
- Specify integrations and data structures to support geographic expansion into
Central and Northern Florida
Technology Evaluation
- Research platform upgrades, third-party integrations, and new tools
- Produce structured cost-benefit analyses for proposed technology changes
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership in clear, non-technical
terms
Implementation & Quality Assurance
- Oversee implementation of system changes by internal staff or external vendors
- Design and execute test plans; document results and required remediation
- Monitor post-deployment system performance against improvement goals
Reporting & Documentation
- Confer regularly with management on how IT systems support business objectives
- Produce structured performance and analysis reports for leadership
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all systems in scope
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, Required
- 5+ years of experience in computer systems analysis - studying systems,
identifying gaps, and designing improvements (not primarily software
development)
- Demonstrated ability to produce formal system requirements documents and
design specifications
- Experience with e-commerce or digital ordering platform systems
(WooCommerce, Shopify, or comparable)
- Track record of producing technical analysis that non-technical managers can
act on
- Experience coordinating with or overseeing external technical vendors
Skills
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate across the technical-to-business spectrum
- Familiarity with data modeling, system architecture diagramming, and REST APIs
- Self-directed and organized; proactively surfaces findings
Nice to Have
- Experience with B2B wholesale distribution or subscription commerce systems
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, or multi-platform data pipeline integration
- Background in consumer goods, specialty retail, or luxury products
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a
related technical field required
- Post-secondary diploma in a related field + 3 years of directly relevant
