Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avaya Technician - Tier 3 to join our dynamic technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Avaya communication systems, ensuring seamless telephony and network operations for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex telecommunication projects, collaborate with field service teams, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in telecommunication systems, computer networking, and low voltage electrical work, combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving., * Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of Avaya telephony systems, VoIP solutions, and associated hardware components.

  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet cabling such as Cat5 and Cat6 cables.
  • Conduct fiber splicing and cable management to support network installation projects in data centers and enterprise environments.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and service telecommunication equipment.
  • Execute field service tasks including site surveys, equipment upgrades, system testing, and preventative maintenance.
  • Support CCTV systems, low voltage wiring, electrical connections following NEC standards, and power tools usage for equipment setup.
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver exceptional customer service by providing technical guidance and timely resolution of issues related to telephony and data networks.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Customer communication?, * Extensive experience with Avaya communication platforms and VoIP telephony solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and network installation procedures.
  • Proficiency in working with Cisco routers, Juniper devices, switches, schematics, and electrical wiring standards such as NEC.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques for high-speed data connectivity.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters (for electrical testing), and other technical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Service technician experience in telecommunication or IT environments; data center experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication standards including NEC codes; electrical experience preferred for troubleshooting power issues.
