Job description

At H&R Block, the Marketing Vice President, Digital Experience & Martech owns the digital infrastructure and data ecosystem that enable growth, conversion, personalization, and measurable performance across our digital properties. As Marketing Vice President, Digital Experience & Martech, you will unify user experience, conversion architecture, experimentation, marketing technology, and data foundations into a single high-performing system-instrumented, testable, scalable, and continuously improving. This role is infrastructure and enablement, not campaign execution: you will build the foundations that make experiences measurable, experimentation repeatable, personalization scalable, and digital performance continuously improvable across channels. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. As Marketing Vice President, Digital Experience & Martech, you will lead the systems, infrastructure, and operating model that power end-to-end digital performance, including conversion optimization, experimentation, measurement, marketing technology, first-party data enablement, and personalization. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Operate at enterprise scale with visible impact on digital growth, conversion, and personalization enablement
  • Partner with senior leaders across Marketing, Technology, Data, and the enterprise to modernize the digital ecosystem
  • Shape the operating system behind how digital experiences are measured, tested, and improved over time

Day to Day, you'll…

  • Own end-to-end digital conversion performance across digital properties, ensuring UX, conversion architecture, measurement, data foundations, and martech operate as a unified system.

  • Identify and remove friction across the full funnel by improving user experience, conversion paths, form experiences, lead capture infrastructure, measurement continuity, and downstream data handoffs.

  • Establish experimentation as a core operating model by setting standards for test velocity, quality, prioritization, governance, and documented learning.

  • Ensure major experiences and campaigns are testable and measurable by partnering with channel leaders to enable clean instrumentation, clear success metrics, and repeatable optimization.

  • Own digital experience infrastructure across site properties, including instrumentation, experimentation enablement, lead capture architecture, and platform integrations that support measurable growth.

  • Define the marketing technology vision and roadmap aligned to business growth, and ensure the stack is integrated, scalable, effectively adopted, and delivering measurable value.

  • Oversee tagging, measurement infrastructure, and data flow to ensure instrumentation accuracy, trustworthy reporting, consistent event definitions, and reliable attribution.

  • Ensure reliable integration and flow of customer, behavioral, and marketing data across platforms to support measurement, personalization, and operational scalability.

  • Own first-party data strategy and customer data architecture, ensuring a unified, accessible customer view across systems.

  • Enforce data governance, quality, consistency, and compliant activation so teams can operate with confidence and trust in the data.

  • Drive a personalization roadmap tied to business impact, enabling activation across websites, campaigns, and lifecycle channels through integrated data, technology, and experience systems.

  • Accelerate adoption of artificial intelligence tools and automation where they create leverage, improve speed, and increase measurable impact.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technology management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred (or equivalent progressive leadership experience)

  • Bring 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across digital experience, marketing technology, data foundations, analytics, digital infrastructure, or related domains.
  • Demonstrate ownership of conversion outcomes across large-scale digital properties, with a track record of measurable performance improvement.
  • Demonstrate accountability for measurable improvements in conversion performance, data integrity, instrumentation quality, martech effectiveness, and personalization enablement.
  • Lead experimentation programs at scale, including operating model design, governance, prioritization, and measurable test impact.
  • Build and run integrated marketing technology ecosystems, including roadmap ownership, platform integration, cross-system data flows, and cross-team adoption.
  • Establish measurement and tagging governance that improves data integrity, instrumentation accuracy, attribution confidence, and reporting trust.
  • Design customer data architectures that enable first-party data activation, a unified customer view, scalable personalization, and cross-channel enablement.
  • Partner effectively across marketing, technology, data, product, engineering, and legal/privacy teams to deliver outcomes through shared systems.
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams with clear standards, operating rhythms, and accountability for outcomes.

It would be even better if you also had...:

  • Experience implementing or scaling personalization capabilities across websites, campaigns, lifecycle channels, and customer journeys tied to measurable business impact.
  • Experience advancing artificial intelligence-enabled tooling, automation, and intelligent workflows within marketing systems to increase leverage, speed, and effectiveness.
  • Experience designing governance models for customer data quality, consistency, platform integration, and compliant activation across ecosystems
