Job description
A growing logistics and transportation company is seeking an experienced DX Department Manager / IT Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives and oversee company-wide IT operations.
This role is responsible for managing business systems, infrastructure, software development, IT support, automation projects, vendor management, and information security coordination. The position works closely with internal departments and overseas stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and deliver scalable technology solutions., * Lead and manage IT/DX team members, consultants, and external vendors
- Develop and implement digital transformation and IT strategies aligned with business goals
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system enhancement
- Oversee core business systems including TMS, supply chain, accounting, and Microsoft 365 platforms
- Manage system maintenance, troubleshooting, user support, and issue resolution
- Lead IT projects including system implementations, software development, integrations, and infrastructure upgrades
- Coordinate with overseas headquarters regarding IT systems, security standards, audits, and reporting
- Support development of web applications, APIs, EDI integrations, and internal tools
- Manage IT assets, software licensing, hardware procurement, and vendor contracts
- Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base materials
- Promote information security best practices, access control, data protection, and compliance initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- 8+ years of experience in IT, systems implementation, software development, or digital transformation
- 3+ years of management or team leadership experience
- 3+ years of IT project management experience
- Experience with business systems, APIs, web applications, and process automation
- Experience managing vendors, IT assets, and software licensing
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- English proficiency required
- Japanese bilingual skills preferred
