Job description
A well-funded AI-powered legal tech startup (Series B) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their small, high-velocity team in New York City. You'll be a full-stack developer with a frontend emphasis, building scalable, user-centric tools that help lawyers review contracts faster and smarter. This is a foundational engineering role with direct collaboration with the founders and meaningful influence over the core platform., * Design, build, and deploy scalable systems and agentic AI tools to accelerate contract review workflows for the legal team.
- Own end-to-end product development across the stack, with a strong focus on creating intuitive, lawyer-facing interfaces.
- Work closely with founders to define technical priorities and establish a robust, maintainable codebase.
- Develop and integrate large language model (LLM)-powered features to drive the core platform.
- Contribute to a high-energy, in-person, collaborative culture focused on shipping quickly.
- Mentor and help recruit engineers as the team scales.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TypeScript?, Required:
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
- Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks - React, Vue, or Svelte.
- Experience building frontend AI tools, agents, or interfaces.
- Background at a high-growth, venture-backed startup.
- Willingness to work on-site in the NYC office.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with LLM integrations and AI agent workflows.
- Demonstrated interest in legal tech or document-heavy workflows.
- Familiarity with Go or Rust.
