Sr. Applications Engineer - MIM

As a member of the Advanced Technology Engineering Team, this position promotes growth of the Company by strategically planning and executing the design, development and promotion of new products, applications, and markets. This position also provides support to the Commercial Sales Team for revenue growth and the Product Launch Team for effective and successful production approval processes and the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing by functioning as a key technical resource.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Essential Function satisfactorily. The items listed below are representative of these essential functions for this role and may not be a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities, or expectations.

· Develops engineering quotations for manufacturing new products including raw material requirements, operation steps and rates, outside operational costs, tooling, fixtures and gauging cost, and capital requirements and cost.

· Recommend design changes for customer's components to ensure manufacturability by the companies MIM technology. Including, developing marked prints and/or modifications to CAD solid model files.

· Lead the manufacturing and delivery of all engineering and proto-type samples.

· Lead technical/engineering discussions with customers. Represent customers in technical/engineering discussions with the internal teams.

· Lead APQP team through Gate 1 and participate in APQP through Gate 5.

· Supports development of new materials with the Materials Technology Team for existing customers and new customer market opportunities.

· Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.

· Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.

· All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

· Travel as needed with commercial teams to customers. Travel should be minimal but is necessary.

· Works with (existing or new) Outside Subcontractors as needed.

Do you have experience in Solid modeling technique?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Education, Certifications, and Experience

· Required Preferred Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, or related work experience.

· Required Preferred 5 years related experience, Powdered Metals Applications

Skills

· Required Preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Required Preferred Ability to read blueprints/schematics.

· Required Preferred Knowledge of CAD solid model software.

· Required Preferred Knowledge of GD&T.

Travel Requirements

· Domestic Travel 0% - 25%

· International Travel 0% - 25%
