We collaborate closely with product, analytics, finance, and engineering partners to ensure that pricing is correct, scalable, and responsive to an evolving business. Whether integrating new pricing inputs, improving calculation logic, scaling data workflows, or modernizing existing systems, we focus on engineering excellence, operational rigor, and measurable business impact.
As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll work on high-scale calculation systems and data-heavy backend workflows that sit at the core of Wayfair's pricing ecosystem. - Write and optimize SQL used in pricing-related transformations, aggregations, and data quality checks
- Contribute to backend services and data-processing applications in object-oriented languages such as C#/.NET or Java
- Support ETL workflows that ingest and prepare data from multiple internal and external sources
- Build and improve data validation, monitoring, and alerting to help ensure pipeline reliability and data integrity
- Build and support services and interfaces that expose pricing data to downstream systems
- Partner with product managers, analysts, and engineers to identify and implement enhancements to pricing systems
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices across application and data pipeline code
- Use observability and monitoring tools to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance
