Job description

The Integrated Pump Solutions Manager will play a key role in managing customer relationships, developing sales opportunities, overseeing contracts and planned works, and delivering technical support across a wide range of pumping applications.

The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge with commercial awareness and will work closely with engineers, clients, suppliers and management to deliver high-quality pumping solutions and long-term customer support.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across commercial, industrial and utility sectors.
  • Carry out technical site surveys and customer consultations.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and solution-based recommendations.
  • Promote KML Pumps products and services including service contracts, installations, upgrades and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Upsell maintenance agreements, asset upgrades, control solutions and reactive support services.
  • Support marketing initiatives, case studies and customer presentations where required.

Contract & Project Management

  • Manage planned works, service contracts and small-to-medium sized projects from enquiry through to completion.
  • Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and equipment requirements.
  • Liaise with clients regarding scheduling, shutdowns, progress updates and technical matters.
  • Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to company standards.
  • Monitor project progress, costs and commercial performance.
  • Assist with mobilisation and planning of new contracts and reactive works.

Technical Support & Site Operations

  • Attend customer sites to assess pump systems, diagnose issues and recommend solutions.
  • Support commissioning activities and technical troubleshooting when required.
  • Work alongside electrical and mechanical pump engineers during complex projects and investigations.
  • Review pump performance, system efficiency and operational reliability.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, service documentation and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and health & safety procedures.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Project coordination?, Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Integrated Pump Solutions Manager to support the development of our service, projects and technical sales operations., * Previous experience within the pump industry, mechanical services or industrial engineering sector.

  • Strong understanding of pump systems, motors, controls, pipework and mechanical services.
  • Experience in technical sales, account management or project coordination.
  • Good commercial awareness and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and contracts simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital job management systems.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of booster sets, wastewater pumping stations, pressurisation systems or HVAC pumping systems.
  • Experience with variable speed drives, control panels and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with confined space operations, ATEX environments or utility sector works.
  • Experience preparing RAMS, quotations and technical reports.

Working Hours

Standard working hours are based on a 38-hour week:

  • Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 - 14:00

Flexibility may be required to support reactive works, customer requirements and project deadlines.
