Job description

As the go-to expert on shift, you'll rapidly assess alarms and faults, dive into system and subsystem diagnostics, and return equipment to service with speed and precision. You'll keep leadership informed with clear updates on root causes, recommended actions, and estimated repair times. From conveyors and fieldbus networks to PLCs and multi-axis robots, you'll put your electro-mechanical and controls expertise to work every minute., * Maintain and troubleshoot all systems and subsystems within the AS/RS and material handling conveyor networks to minimize downtime.

  • Diagnose and replace fieldbus/communication components; address devices and run network diagnostics.
  • Perform conveyor mechanical work: repair/replace chain, belting, rollers, drive motors; realign/replace sensors (photo-eyes, proximity, etc.).
  • Reload software parameters and replace components across PLC product lines; support industrial PCs and server-based controls.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and perform PM on multi-axis robotic arms and End-Of-Arm Tools (EOAT); execute PM actions on automated conveyor equipment.
  • Reprogram, align, and replace electronic sensors as required.
  • Document work orders, PMs, parts usage, and labor time in Maximo; leave areas clean and remove replaced parts post-repair.
  • Share knowledge and mentor fellow automation technicians in troubleshooting and repair techniques.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Welding repair?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Hands-on experience with 480/277/120 VAC systems (single and three phase).

  • Advanced proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs, including network diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret electrical/electronic schematics, mechanical diagrams, and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns.
  • Competency replacing electrical and mechanical components on Symbotic Rovers (BOTS) and performing PM.
  • Comfort with site/equipment inspections and mechanical work requiring mobility: walking, bending, reaching, ladder climbing, carrying tools/parts.
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); proven ability to work independently following procedures and manuals.
  • Welding (stick or MIG) experience is a plus., * 5-7 years in an electro-mechanical field or an Associate's Degree (Electrical or Mechanical) with 5+ years equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years reading/using complex automated system drawings and component specification sheets.

Tools, tech, and proficiencies

  • Proficient in: PLC troubleshooting, electrical schematics, 120/208/240/480 voltage systems, and industrial automation troubleshooting.
  • Technologies you'll use: Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo motors, and industrial robots.
