This is a hands-on role focused on writing C++ code and AFSIM scripting to implement platform behaviors, system logic, and mission scenarios. The position involves developing AFSIM plug-ins and extensions, scripting scenario execution and automation, and building reliable, reusable simulation components for ground, air, space, and multi-domain operations. The ideal candidate has strong C++ and AFSIM scripting skills, experience with Modeling & Simulation, and the ability to translate real-world system concepts into clean, testable simulation software in a mission-focused environment., * Develop and implement AFSIM entities, behaviors, and mission scenarios using C++ and AFSIM scripting to model real-world military systems and operations.
- Develop and maintain AFSIM plug-ins and extensions.
- Configure mission-level representations of platforms, sensors, weapons, networks, and command and control systems to assess operational effectiveness, system integration, and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with operational and technical subject matter experts to translate system knowledge, engineering data, and limited or incomplete information into practical simulation models using sound engineering judgment.
- Build and integrate capabilities within a larger system-of-systems environment supporting large-scale mission and campaign analysis.
- Manage tasks independently, communicate regularly with customers, and deliver usable capabilities on schedule-prioritizing mission value over unnecessary model complexity.
- Support model verification and validation, technical documentation, and customer briefings.
