Job description
The Firmware Engineering position is a member of the Electrical Hardware Development team at MTS Systems. The team is responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of electrical products focused on high performance motion control and precision data acquisition.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field

Demonstrated technical expertise and proficiency in embedded firmware development in C/C++ Demonstrated software development experiences using Python

Experience with Git or similar version control tools

Working knowledge of product development methodologies and stage-gate development processes
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

Experience with industrial communication protocols, including Ethernet, Modbus, CAN, and EtherCAT

Experience with Control Systems and Digital Signal Processing algorithm design

Experience with Real-Time Operation System (RTOS)

Knowledge of FPGA / HDL / SystemVerilog.
