Tensley Consulting is seeking a System Administrator to provide implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support across enterprise IT systems and mission-critical environments. The System Administrator manages system infrastructure components, supports day-to-day operations, and ensures the stability, integrity, and efficiency of client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments. This role works closely with technical teams, agency management, and internal customers to diagnose issues, resolve escalated problems, optimize system performance, and maintain reliable, secure computing environments. The System Administrator supports the full lifecycle of IT system operations, including operating system installation and configuration, system monitoring, problem resolution, performance optimization, and user support across Linux, Unix, Windows, and related platforms., About TensleyTensley Consulting is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on mission engineering in support of the United States Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems analysis?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and five (5) years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Ten (10) years of System Administrator experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II certification is required., * Experience supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Experience managing daily configuration and operations of IT systems
- Experience assisting users in accessing and using IT systems
- Experience supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments
- Experience escalating issues and communicating status to agency management and internal customers
- Experience performing system capacity analysis, planning, and resource optimization
- In-depth experience troubleshooting IT systems and providing detailed analysis/feedback for escalated tickets
- Experience supporting dispatch systems and resolving hardware issues
- Experience installing, configuring, and managing Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems
- Experience maintaining system integrity, configuring network components, and implementing OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance,
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environments
- Experience administering systems in enterprise or multi-enclave architectures
- Experience supporting virtualization, storage systems, or enterprise network components
- Experience with system monitoring, logging, or automation technologies
- Experience documenting system processes, configurations, or operating procedures
- Experience supporting modernization efforts or implementing performance improvements
- Experience using ITSM or collaboration tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence, or Microsoft Office
