Job description
You start by reviewing the latest NCRs & CAPAs and triaging any customer complaints. By mid-morning, you're on the floor with QC Technicians, validating measurements, running MSA checks, and guiding 5 Why discussions to pinpoint root causes. After lunch, you update CAPA owners, close out actions on open nonconformances, and prepare evidence packs for an upcoming external audit. You wrap up the day delivering a short training session on product requirements to the production team and aligning next steps for a new launch's APQP and PPAP package., * Maintain and continually improve a quality management system aligned to IATF 16949: 2016 and applicable regulatory directives.
- Coordinate and perform investigations on production issues with QC Technicians to ensure customer & regulatory requirements are consistently achieved.
- Lead the lifecycle of nonconformances (NCRs) and CAPAs through to verified effectiveness and closure.
- Ensure all customer-specific requirements are identified, translated into controls, and met.
- Serve as the primary Quality point-of-contact to customers, building and sustaining strong relationships.
- Participate in internal and external audits, preparing documentation and driving corrective actions.
- Deliver targeted training for quality and production teams on product and process requirements.
- Support APQP for new product launches, including PPAP submissions and safe launch activities.
Requirements
Do you have experience in PPAP?, * 4+ years in a product quality role with hands-on quality system compliance experience.
- Proven experience with APQP, Core Tools, and authoring PPAPs.
- Working knowledge of quality inspection methods and tools.
- Background with blow molding, injection molding, and assembly processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and computational capability; familiarity with problem-solving methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
