Job description
- Defines, designs and develops system requirements. Assesses architecture and current hardware limitations, defines and designs complex system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Analyzes and resolves difficult and complicated program support deficiencies.
- Conducts independent technical investigations in systems design. Coordinates and consolidates design efforts on major projects.
- May provide work leadership for lower level employees. Excludes those with full supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to support the Tactical Missile Systems team on Redstone Arsenal. This position offers a unique mentorship opportunity to work alongside a senior radar engineer. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic team. The position will include support for modeling and simulation of RF systems and scene generators, analysis tool development, and algorithm testing and analysis., * US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years system design experience, including hardware/software integration.
- Experience with MATLAB, C++, Python, Fortran, or other programming languages.
- A strong interest or foundational experience in radar systems and RF phenomenology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience effectively communicating complex topics.
Preferred Requirements:
- Understanding of software integration, modeling and simulation, and analysis of radar systems and RF phenomenology.
