Job description

Are you passionate about IT systems and looking for a challenging role where you can make a significant impact? We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining our IT systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently., * Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.

  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Support the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

Required:

  • An active TS/SCI with Poly.
  • 7+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or 5+ years of additional SA experience may be substituted).
  • Scripting: Bash or Python.
  • Configuration: Ansible/Puppet/Salt.
  • Containerization: Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring: Nagios/Splunk (configuration).

Desired:

  • Familiarity and experience with some of the tech stacks used by our development teams.
  • Load Balancing: HAproxy/httpd etc.
  • Web Servers: Tomcat/Nginx/Java etc.
  • Database: MongoDB/Postgres/MySQL etc.
  • AWS experience or certification (Cloud Architect or SysOps Administrator)

The proposed salary range for this position is: $103,800 - $218,100
