Job description

This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office., The candidature will work closely with product marketing, software and hardware development teams to review design specification, then develop functional test plan for review. This candidature is also responsible to execute test cases, report issues in bug track system, debug issues with development for resolution, and automate test cases, and integrate automated scripts for regression.

Requirements

  • Requires M.S. in Computer Engineering or a BS in CS/EE with 4+ years of experience., * Strong programming fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, GoLang.

  • Understanding of operating systems (Linux) and computer networking concepts.

  • Experience in various test methodologies white box, black box, solution testing is desirable.

  • Routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, Multicast, MPLS, RSVP, L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS.. etc.)

  • FreeBSD/LINUX/VM environments

  • Be a fast learner, proactive and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently while adopting to existing and newer technologies

  • Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages.

  • Validate the functional cases across the technology on networking products.

  • Execute test cases, report issues in bug track system, debug issues with development for resolution, and automate test cases, and integrate automated scripts for regression.

  • Deliver automated scripts using agile process and using strong programming fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute functional level, scale and performance test scenarios using automation

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, GoLang.

  • Understanding of L2/L3 protocols such as TCP/IP protocol suite, Ethernet switching (802.1D), 802.1p prioritization, VLAN (802.1Q), STP, LAG, MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis , IP Routing, Routing concepts, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS ,Class-of-service (CoS), IP Multicast

  • Excellent understanding of Telemetry (OCST), SNMP.

  • Good skills in automation framework like ROBOT.

  • Automation programming skills (Python, Perl) network virtualization, containerization, and Software Defined Networking (SDN) knowledge is required.

  • Proficient in data serialization formats like YAML and JSON

  • Expertise in use of networking test equipment like Spirent and Ixia, including automation.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.

  • Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.

  • Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.

  • United States of America: Annual Salary USD 120,500 - 243,000 in California The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered."
