back-end developer

As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We're looking for a back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients., As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. Using your software engineering skills, you'll work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

• Experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting software development to modernize systems
• Experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, or software products
• Ability to create solutions within a collaborative team environment
• Ability to develop and maintain the technology needed to power the components which enable the user-facing side of enterprise applications databases, conceptualize and implement data storage solutions, run performance testing and benchmarking, and optimize data performance
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Server-Side Development, Middleware, Application or Data Integration, API Development, Core Application Systems, Node.js, Groovy, Scala, Spring Cloud, Spring Core, Spring-Boot, or Spring Data
• Ability to write source code for new applications or generate and enhance code samples for existing applications
• Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
