Job description
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a leading enterprise organization undergoing a large-scale data modernization initiative across North America. This highly technical, hands-on role will focus on designing, building, and optimizing a modern Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment while supporting enterprise analytics, ingestion pipelines, and scalable data platform initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise data engineering, advanced SQL development, enterprise ETL/ELT frameworks, API integrations, and large-scale data transformation initiatives leveraging modern cloud technologies.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.

7+ years of enterprise Data Engineering or Enterprise Data Warehouse experience required.

Proven experience building Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) from the ground up.

Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives.

Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Experience supporting highly regulated data environments preferred.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:

Expert-level SQL development skills, including complex queries, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, and query optimization.

Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.

Experience with enterprise ETL/ELT frameworks.

Experience designing enterprise data pipelines and integrations.

Experience with API integrations and enterprise ingestion frameworks.

Strong understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture.

Experience with data lakes and lakehouse architectures.

Experience with star and snowflake schema design.

Experience with enterprise data modeling and transformation.

Looker experience preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $95 - 110.
