Job description

As a Data Scientist, you will work in collaboration with Telligen team members working on a contract for a government client, this role works with healthcare data to conduct detailed analyses and report on quality improvement initiatives. This will require accessing data stored in the cloud, and generating insights from analytic output to solve challenges in program design and quality monitoring. This is a remote position but you must live in Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, or Wyoming to be eligible for this position. However, Telligen will consider internal candidates in other states., * Use programming expertise (SQL, Python, R) to support the development and implementation of processes to retrieve, validate, analyze, report, and visualize large data sets in a cloud computing environment.

  • Write and revise statistical programs (using SQL, R, Python) to calculate measures, design reporting products (e.g., charts, dashboards, infographics), and generate insights from the data.
  • Coordinate technical development, testing, and documentation of analytic solutions with team members.
  • Integrate machine learning models into analytic activities and projects, collaborating with program leads, biostatisticians, and information systems specialists, as needed.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical solutions implementation?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Public Health, or related field and/or equivalent experience and/or training

  • Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS
  • Positions working on specific contracts may require U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Software: Databricks, AWS QuickSight (or other business intelligences software experience)
  • Other: Medicare claims data; hospital, nursing home and/or primary care quality reporting program experience; dashboard creation experience
