Job description
Bramble CFD are looking for an Applications Engineer to be the technical point of contact for our customers, supporting our sales team on the technical side of new opportunities, and owning customer onboarding, training and ongoing technical support for active accounts., * Leading the technical content of customer demonstrations, working alongside the sales team
- Designing and executing trials and proofs-of-concepts
- Onboarding new customers and delivering structured training
- Providing first-line technical support for customer simulation queries
- Identifying technical expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Aggregating customer feedback and advocating internally for high-impact product improvements
- Representing Bramble CFD's technical product story at relevant industry events and conferences
The role will be based at TotalSim's Innovation Centre facility at Catesby Tunnel, nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside. It is easily commutable from Warwick/Leamington Spa, Banbury and Daventry.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Sales support?, We are looking for an individual with the following:
- Prior experience in a customer-facing engineering role (applications engineering, technical support, customer success engineering)
- An engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace, chemical or similar) with hands-on experience of Computational Fluid Dynamics
- Experience running simulations in a commercial CFD code (Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM or similar)
- Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage credibly with customer engineers and engineering managers
- Genuine interest in working closely with customers and helping them succeed with the platform
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to balance technical pre-sales support, customer training and ongoing technical support
- Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with customers and prospects
- The right to work in the UK
Desirable (but not essential) experience includes:
- Experience at a technical software vendor, particularly in CAE or an adjacent engineering software category
- Scripting ability (Python or shell) for automating demo and trial environments
Benefits & conditions
The package is £30k to £40k depending on experience. Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a company pension scheme.
