Job description

  • Data Extraction & Cleaning: Mine primary and secondary data sources using advanced SQL queries. Clean, validate, and prune datasets to guarantee absolute data integrity and eliminate duplicates or anomalies.
  • Dashboard Creation: Design, construct, and maintain interactive business intelligence dashboards and tracking tools using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to reflect key business performance metrics.
  • Trend Analysis & Forecasting: Run statistical tests on large datasets to uncover shifting historical patterns, spot anomalies, and build predictive data models to help guide forecast strategies.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Translate technical metrics into plain-English summaries. Regularly present data visualizations, performance reports, and actionable strategic insights to both technical and commercial teams.
  • Process Automation: Continually identify opportunities to streamline manual reporting processes by building automated data workflows, optimizing query speeds, and developing internal pipelines.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Work closely with engineering and internal audit teams to monitor data quality, manage standard data schemas, and ensure compliance with UK data protection regulations.

In this role, you will play a vital part in identifying commercial trends, developing automated reporting systems, and delivering the evidence-based insights our leadership needs to make strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has a meticulous eye for detail, a strong grasp of data-modeling principles, and the ability to translate complex data narratives into clear, compelling stories for stakeholders at all levels., * Experience: Proven professional track record working as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, or Insights Specialist within the UK market.

  • SQL Mastery: Advanced proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, handling subqueries, window functions, and managing relational databases.
  • Data Visualization: Hands-on experience developing advanced, user-friendly dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Statistical Software: Strong familiarity with programming languages tailored for data manipulation and statistical computing (specifically Python or R).
  • Excel Expertise: Deep knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions (including Power Query, complex nested formulas, and data modeling frameworks).
  • Data Architecture: Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schemas) and cloud database infrastructure like Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent numerical capability coupled with a methodical, logical approach to solving complex operational or financial data issues.
  • Communication Skills: Strong collaborative and verbal presentation abilities, allowing you to confidently guide non-technical stakeholders through data findings.
