Job description
- SAP Basis Administration & System Monitoring: Manage and maintain SAP systems to ensure high availability and performance, including system optimization, upgrades, patches, and transport management. Continuously monitor systems, interfaces, and scheduled jobs, proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensure timely execution of critical batch jobs, and oversee alert management.
- Database & Infrastructure Management: Oversee database administration, backup and recovery processes, and infrastructure operations across environments including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and HANA. Apply best practices in network design, security, virtualization, and infrastructure optimization to maintain a secure and efficient SAP environment.
- S/4HANA Migrations & System Modernization: Support S/4HANA migration projects from planning through go-live, including technical migrations, data transfer coordination, and post-migration optimization. Utilize migration tools and methodologies while addressing associated technical challenges throughout the transformation process.
- Security, Change Management & Collaboration: Monitor and manage SAP security to ensure compliance and protection against unauthorized access. Use SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) to support change management processes and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in global teams to continuously optimize SAP performance., * Work-Life Balance - Flexible working models, including flextime and hybrid options, to support your personal and professional life.

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 65.000 gross per year (May 2025). There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Administrator with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis system administration to ensure the optimal performance, stability, and reliability of our SAP landscape., * A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SAP Basis system administration. You will possess comprehensive understanding of SAP system architecture, administration, and operations.
- Proficiency in Unix and Windows operating systems. Experience with DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, HANA, and other relevant databases. Solid knowledge of database administration principles and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP tools such as SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP HANA Studio. Experience with S/4 HANA systems is a plus.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Understanding of hybrid cloud and on-premise integration scenarios.
- Proficiency with backup and recovery tools and workflows to keep business operations running. Skills in performance tuning and optimization of SAP systems. Proficiency in network security principles and protocols.
- Skilled in analyzing issues and finding effective solutions for complex system problems. Forward-looking approach to identifying and reducing risks.
- Well-developed communication and relationship-building skills, paired with the ability to work effectively across global teams. Experience of collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external providers. ABAP programming knowledge is a welcome addition.
