Job description
Your core responsibility is making sure every client has a clear commercial frame - and that everything Pacer does flows from it. Underpinning all of it is a command of the Shopify platform that lets you advise with confidence. 01 - Shopify Platform MasteryYou know Shopify end-to-end. Admin, Markets, B2B, POS, Checkout extensibility, Flow, the app ecosystem, theme architecture, data layer. When a client asks "can Shopify do this?", you don't need to check. Your platform knowledge is what makes your strategic advice credible. 02 - Commercial IntakeBefore any discovery or delivery work begins, you run a structured commercial intake with every new client. Revenue vs plan, growth model, highest-value segment, off-platform constraints, board priorities. These outputs orient the whole team before they start - ensuring we work on the right lever, not just the loudest one. 03 - Roadmap OwnershipYou own the strategic roadmap for each client. Setting the quarterly commercial bet, knowing what we're not doing and why, and defending prioritisation decisions commercially. 04 - Delivery OperationsYou keep our specialist team focused and unblocked - making sure priorities are clear, context is shared, and cross-stream conflicts surface early. You're the connective tissue between strategy and execution., Your Shopify knowledge is surface-level. This role requires genuine depth - you need to understand what the platform can and can't do before making recommendations, not after. You want to be an executor. The CSL owns the strategic frame - if you're most comfortable when someone else sets the direction, this will be frustrating. Your background is purely project management or traffic management at an agency.

Requirements
You know Shopify deeply - not just as a merchant user, but as someone who understands the full product: admin, Markets, B2B, POS, Checkout, Flow, the app ecosystem, theme architecture. When a client asks if Shopify can do something, you have an answer. You've run strategy for a DTC or ecommerce brand - internally or at an agency - and you can point to commercial outcomes you drove, not just work you delivered. You're confident in a senior client conversation. You can push back on a brief, reframe a problem, and get the client to a better place than where they started. You understand the operational reality of running a DTC brand - fulfilment, returns logic, discount structures, cross-border, margin pressure. Platform advice without operational context isn't advice, it's guesswork. You have exceptional communication skills - "buy in" to your solutions will ride on your storytelling ability. You can demonstrate client context and comprehension of the problem we're solving for the client and the audience. You understand the full commercial picture of a Shopify business - contribution margin, LTV, payback period, channel mix, returns impact. Platform decisions and growth decisions are the same decision. You treat them that way.
