Job description
The Senior IT Support Specialist is responsible for helping IEWC leverage technology to improve our business systems, software, and processes. The position requires strong technical aptitude of computer systems, training, implementation, best practices, and technical problem solving. This role will support operation of the local Dallas, TX office, warehouse, and remote users. This includes new laptop builds and upgrades, break-fix, peripheral support, keeping accurate asset inventory, assistance with server, network, shop floor devices, phone systems and audio-visual equipment., * Working independently with guidance and support from the distributed Infrastructure and Operations team, ensure that appropriate measures are taken to keep the enterprise-wide network and services available to users.
- Ensure standards are maintained, issues are escalated as necessary, and user requests are captured in the centralized ticketing system.
- Implement new technologies to improve performance and provide newer tools to access company information.
- Carry out responsibilities as instructed by more senior staff within the Infrastructure and Operations team.
- Create and maintain documentation and perform technical training to assist end users and team members.
- Develop and assist in rollout of strategic corporate initiatives and system changes, which may include office moves, mass system upgrades, lifecycle support, and special projects.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Improve existing programs by reviewing objectives and specifications; evaluating proposed changes; recommending changes; making modifications.
- Perform application deployment and system imaging leveraging Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Support endpoint vulnerability remediation through security related applications (e.g., anti-virus, vulnerability scanning, & patch management)
- Participate in support and enhance daily operations including opening and closing procedures and uphold all corporate and IT policies and procedures regarding software, hardware, and equipment use and allocation within the company.
- Maintain and troubleshoot client devices, PCs, thin clients, printers, and other peripherals.
- Showcase commitment to personal development and growth and to the development and evolution of all Infrastructure and Operations staff employees. Maintain technical competency regarding new trends affecting the Department, technology, markets and industry by reading professional and technical journals and by attending training classes and/or seminars as directed by management.
- Maintain network and system documentation, including network diagrams, facility location diagrams, system specific installation instructions, and procedural documentation. Maintain documentation of all IT related equipment, inventory and company assets.

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in iOS support?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Education and/or Experience: An associate degree in a computer science or electronic technology, or three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations: A valid driver's license.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Working both in a team and independently using discretion or independent judgment to solve issues or administer computer systems.
- Aptitude to work in a Windows environment, to work with your department's business applications and with standard current computer applications.
- Understanding of various desktop operating systems such as Windows 10/11, OSx, iOS
- Experience in the support of O365 and related Microsoft office products.
- Knowledge and experience managing a SCCM environment.
- Specialized knowledge of warehousing equipment such as but not limited to mobile computers, scanners, industrial printing and thin clients desired but not required.
