Senior Network Architect - Hybrid - US Citizen Secret Clearance

• Provide Tier 3 engineering and operational support across classified and unclassified environments, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventative engineering.
• Design, deploy, and sustain enterprise LAN/WAN and data center networks, including routing, switching, wireless, and network access services.
• Engineer and support complex routing/VPN solutions across the enterprise (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN, IPsec, MPLS, VLAN/L2/L3).
• Implement and maintain network security capabilities including Cisco ISE / 802.1x, firewall/VPN services, identity integration (e.g., LDAP), and secure communications (PKI/SSL/TLS).
• Support data center networking and platform integration including Cisco ACI, APIC, NDO, load balancing, and connectivity to compute/virtualization stacks (e.g., Cisco UCS, VMware vSphere, UCS Director).
• Support cloud networking and security integration in AWS and Azure, including hybrid connectivity patterns and governance-aligned configurations.
• Monitor and improve performance and reliability using enterprise monitoring/logging tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk); conduct proactive health checks and vulnerability-driven remediation.
• Automate network configurations and operational workflows using Python / PowerShell / Bash and orchestration tools such as Ansible.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure network solutions meet mission, compliance, and uptime requirements.
• Lead and document network installation and upgrade activities including DNS/DHCP, remote access, VoIP/QoS, and enterprise change control processes.
• Provide SME level support for Cisco ACI, Cisco NDO, Cisco APIC, Cisco UCS, virtualization (VMWare), and UCS Director.

Do you have experience in Virtualization tools?, * Active Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship.

• 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience (LAN/WAN/data center) supporting mission-critical environments.
• Strong experience with routing and transport technologies: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN, IPsec VPN, MPLS.
• Hands-on network access security experience: Cisco ISE, 802.1x, identity integration, and secure authentication concepts.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring/logging and troubleshooting at scale: SolarWinds/PRTG and/or Splunk.
• Experience supporting virtualization and compute integration: VMware vSphere; familiarity with UCS strongly preferred.
• Ability to script/automate operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, or Bash; experience with Ansible a plus.
• Strong documentation, communication, and cross-team coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco ACI, APIC, and/or NDO.
• Experience with Cisco UCS and UCS Director.
• Cloud networking/security experience in AWS and/or Azure (hybrid connectivity, segmentation, security posture).
• Experience with IDS/IPS, load balancers, and enterprise remote access solutions.
• Prior federal law enforcement / IC / DoD enterprise support experience.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CCIE (preferred) or equivalent senior-level Cisco certification (e.g., CCNP + extensive ACI/enterprise experience).
