Job description
Hair On Fire is seeking a motivated and dependable IT Support Technician to join our team in Bentonville, Arkansas. This position involves supporting a wide variety of client environments, troubleshooting technical issues, deploying systems, and assisting with network and cybersecurity-related tasks.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with clients, and expanding their technical knowledge in a fast-paced MSP environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot computer, hardware, software, printer, and network-related issues
- Set up and deploy desktops, laptops, and systems, including imaging and cloning hard drives
- Provide support for hardware, software, web-based applications, and communication systems
- Install, maintain, and upgrade PCs, laptops, printers, servers, cabling, and related peripherals
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining client networks, including:
- Firewalls
- Wireless systems
- Email systems
- Endpoint protection
- Servers
- Help minimize downtime and maintain system reliability
- Support user onboarding and workstation preparation
- Document issues, resolutions, and time entries accurately in the ticketing/work order system
- Maintain current knowledge of operating systems, networking, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies
- Travel locally within Northwest Arkansas as needed
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Customer communication?, * Understanding of server and network infrastructure
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN environments
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Familiarity with:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VPNs
- VLANs and Layer 2/3 Switching
- Wireless networking
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and iOS devices
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced technical environment
Preferred Experience
- 1 to 3 years of IT support or related experience
- MSP experience preferred
- Experience with Zoho Desk or similar ticketing systems helpful
- Experience with cybersecurity tools or endpoint protection platforms is a plus
- AV-over-IP & Media Networking: Familiarity with configuring networks for AV-over-IP deployments, including exposure to multicast traffic, IGMP snooping, and protocols like Dante or NDI.
- Advanced Networking: Experience configuring Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, implementing VLAN segmentation, and managing firewall routing policies.
- Cloud & Systems Administration: Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint/OneDrive data migrations, and basic virtualization environments.
- The Homelab / Self-Taught Factor: Active interest in technology outside of work, such as maintaining a home server, experimenting with network infrastructure, or building custom tech projects., * Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb and work from ladders when necessary
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
