Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Software Engineer to design, build, and scale solutions within the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) platform. In this role, you will lead complex technical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver secure, scalable applications that drive enterprise impact. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow Vulnerability Response solutions using scripting and platform capabilities
- Lead large-scale, complex technology initiatives with company-wide impact; provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
- Build secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions aligned with established standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex coding, testing, and platform issues, serving as an escalation point for critical challenges
- Partner with stakeholders across engineering, production support, and platform teams to deliver reliable solutions
- Drive compliance with risk management and governance requirements within the supported domain
- Collaborate with technical experts, engineers, and leadership to solve complex problems and achieve business objectives
- Develop and enhance ServiceNow applications using low-code and out-of-the-box solutions
- Create workflows and automation scripts to streamline business processes
- Manage API integrations with internal and external systems
- Support Agile development practices, including coding, testing, and delivery
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing through tools like Confluence
- Participate in production support, including L3 escalation responsibilities and release management activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent combination of work, education, or military experience)
- 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow application development, implementation, or troubleshooting
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and consulting on design and integration approaches
- Experience with web technologies including JavaScript (ES5+), HTML, CSS/SCSS, and SQL
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response
- ServiceNow Implementation Specialist - Vulnerability Response certification
- Micro-certifications (e.g., Service Portal, ATF, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub)
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, React)
- 2+ years of experience with RESTful or SOAP APIs
- 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments
- Experience integrating with security tools such as Qualys, Wiz, NVD, or Phosphorus
- Strong understanding of web-based protocols and standards
