Job description
As the demand for our services continues to grow rapidly we are forming a team to best position ourselves to deliver a service to the highest level, as expected at Apple. We handle both customer facing (external) and internal traffic which have strict privacy and security requirements. This is a team of software/systems/network engineers directly responsible for both customer facing (external) and internal traffic globally.

Ensure the highest level of up-time and quality of service to Apple's customers through operational quality.

Design, maintain, and improve global production traffic infrastructure.

Ownership of reliability issues using a wide variety of tools.

Identify areas to improve service resiliency through techniques such as chaos engineering, performance / load testing, and game days.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Proxy servers?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Developing in Go, Python, or similar programming languages, Experience with load balancing (Nginx, Envoy and Envoy Gateway), proxies (Squid) and edge deployments.
6+ years cloud engineering
Familiarity with Networking, Security, Logging, and Application Monitoring
Maintaining customer commitments
Navigating the complexities of the business and service reliability
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to coach & mentor other ICs
Bachelors Degree in computer science, related field, or 10 years of equivalent work experience is highly desirable.

- RSU, At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
