Job description
The IT Systems Specialist is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, testing & evaluating existing network systems and for performing system & network maintenance. This position is operational in nature and is expected to maintain a regular on-site presence, serving as a trusted partner for the IT Department. Essential Job Functions
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, networking, and systems-related issues.
- Administer user accounts, permissions and group policies within Microsoft Azure Active Directory and other cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance, backups, security updates, and patch management processes.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking equipment including switches, routers, VPNs, and wireless access points.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and support activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT operations and security posture.
- Provide end-user training and technical guidance on newly implemented software, systems, and IT equipment to ensure effective adoption and operational efficiency.

- Keep up-to-date with technological trends.
- Work with IT counterparts across organization.
- Resolve networking problems by identifying, diagnosing and resolving network problems., This position may require access to information and items subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and endpoint management.
- Experience supporting cloud services and virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, backup solutions, and system monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CMMC2.0
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to organize and prioritize work.
- Time management skills to ensure that administrative tasks are completed.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
