Job description
Provides all levels of technology support to school division organizations and assists with the management of day-to-day operations of the Technology Support Service Center (TSSC), including the call center, all technology systems, special projects, and personnel., * Performs all tasks associated with the technology support specialist position, as required, and acts as a section leader for a specified group of technology support specialists.
- Assists with the management of the day-to-day operation of TSSC.
- Acts as the point person for assigned school or office/department technology support.
- Provides management for assigned special projects.
- Assists with the management and maintenance of all software and hardware systems required to operate the Center.
- Prioritizes, schedules, and allocates technology support resources.
- Provides support for instructional and administrative computer technology and resolves technical support issues that may interrupt the delivery of instruction and administrative services.
- Diagnoses and assists in the resolution of complex issues related to infrastructure, servers, and local- and wide-area networks.
- Participates in the TSSC hiring process.
- Provides orientation, mentoring, training, and staff development for TSSC staff.
- Supervises and provides input into the evaluations for designated staff.
- Serves on cross-functional teams, as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Team supervision?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in call center operations, computer technology, and applications, two (2) years of which shall have been in a supervisory or administrative role.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Possession of appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record and employer-provided transportation required.
- Knowledge of standard microcomputer and network operating systems, protocols, and software with advanced proficiency in using standard and ad-hoc applications.
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, instructional technology requirements.
- Ability to determine priorities, allocate resources, manage projects, measure and analyze results and supervise personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
