Job description

The Manager of Business Intelligence is responsible for leading a team of analysts and BI professionals to drive data-driven insights and strategies within the organization and works cross-functionally with senior leadership to ensure data aligns with strategic objectives. This role collaborates closely with various departments, including marketing, sales, and product development, to provide analytical support, design performance metrics, and leverage data for improved business performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analytics, BI tools, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of an MLM (multi-level marketing) business model. This role operates in a modern BI environment that includes Snowflake, Tableau, and increasing use of AI-enabled tools to improve analytics delivery, documentation, and productivity.

Essential Functions

Lead the development and implementation of the business intelligence strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.

  • Lead cross-functional communication to align BI outputs with evolving business priorities.

  • Lead BI work across a modern cloud data environment, including Snowflake, Tableau, AWS data lake capabilities, and version-controlled development workflows.

  • Support BI continuity, stakeholder alignment, and data integrity during major system, platform, and data model transitions.

  • Analyze key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to inform business strategy and optimize decision-making.

  • Evaluate and promote responsible use of AI and automation tools to improve BI development, documentation, quality assurance, and team productivity.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and address business intelligence needs and provide guidance on best practices in data usage and interpretation.

  • Mentor and manage a team of BI professionals, providing training, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all BI systems and reporting processes.

  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in BI methodologies.

  • Assist in budgeting and resource planning for BI projects., This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention. Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employee's manager.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control systems?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for translating data into actionable business insights.

  • Experience with modern BI, analytics, and cloud data platforms, including tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, AWS data lake technologies, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and Looker; familiarity with GitHub or similar version control tools preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing teams in a collaborative environment.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Familiarity with the MLM industry and an understanding of its unique business model is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics, BI development, documentation, code review, or workflow automation is preferred.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field.

  • A combination of education and experience may meet the requirement.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning)., The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust

focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused., Young Living does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
