Job description
The E-3 AWACS fleet is an aging, irreplaceable national asset - and keeping it operationally viable through 2035 requires solving some of the most complex parts availability and obsolescence challenges in the Air Force inventory. As our Aviation Lifecycle Analyst, you will be at the forefront of that mission: identifying at-risk components before they become mission-stoppers, developing smart sourcing strategies, and coordinating with AFLCMC/WIW engineers and the 429th SASPO to protect E-3 capability for the long haul.
This is a five (5) year full time contract position with benefits available. This position is 100% on site at Tinker AFB.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Investigate the E-3 air vehicle and mission equipment for DMSMS susceptibility; assess obsolescence risk across system bills of materials and individual piece parts
- Recommend and document DMSMS resolutions accounting for total life cycle costs and long-term sustainability, including: life-of-type buy quantities through CY2035, alternate maintenance and repair procedures to reduce usage rates, and identification of preferred substitute or alternate parts
- Coordinate with the 429th Strategic Alternate Sourcing Program Office (SASPO) and WIW DMSMS lead to align recommended solutions with program strategy and available resources
- Respond to DLA Engineering Support Requests; develop Technical Data Packages (TDPs) as required
- Analyze health reports, inventory data, and demand forecasts to assess operational risk from unmitigated DMSMS issues
- Produce and submit Life Cycle Management Data reports monthly or as directed
- Utilize government logistics systems (WEBFLIS, ILSmart, ILS-S, A-TEAM, BLADE, FEDMALL/PIEE, FLITES, MSDIS/PDMC/DSCM-AT) to research parts availability, pricing, and alternate sources
Requirements
Do you have experience in Research?, * U.S. Citizen
- Active DoD SECRET Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on DMSMS, parts obsolescence management, or ILS experience in a DoD program
- Proficiency navigating DLA systems and DoD logistics databases
- Strong analytical and research skills; demonstrated ability to produce formal TDPs and life cycle management deliverables
