Job description
The Quality Department is responsible for verifying that product meets or exceeds safe food handling and quality standards. This includes taking any necessary corrective action in the event of an issue. They are responsible for collaborating with Operations and other functional stakeholders to ensure safe, wholesome and set quality parameters are adhered to, controls in place are functioning as designed and escalate matters in a timely manner. In the absence of the QA Technician, the QA Lead or Supervisor will back fill., * Level 1 QA will:
- Assist in problem solving events to determine root cause and establish preventive measures.
- Has knowledge and application of 100% of all laboratory procedures, cross functionally trained and able to cover 100% of Quality Control and Assurance checks or expectations
- Assist as a Trainer for all QA Lab, Line, and dept. policies and procedures
- Performs sensory evaluation on samples and document as necessary
- Ensure effective collection and shipment of customer samples and with appropriate documentation.
- Ability to work independently at batch station and escalate when necessary
- Ability to effectively batch/make necessary adjustments using experience and tools provided at frontline station for all lines/product SKUs independently.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Follow all lab methods and procedures (responsibilities are completed and accurate).
- Active participation in the LME safety program.
- Complete all required food safety training per Alchemy protocol.
- Abides by all internal policies, including adherence to all GMP practices, attendance policy and completion of methodology described in the Technical Services Manual.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
- A proven track record of exceptional organizational, planning and overall time management skills in addition to exceptional verbal and written communication
Requirements
Do you have experience in Word embeddings?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma with 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory environment, preferably one in a food manufacturing facility. Additional course work in (Biology, Chemistry, Food Science) or related discipline a plus.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation.
