Job description
We are looking for a hungry, personable professional with 2+ years of Help Desk experience to be our primary on-site presence during 3rd shift. You aren't just a placeholder; you are the lifeline for a large, active manufacturing facility while the rest of the world sleeps.
- Solve Problems: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues. You'll be the "go-to" person on the floor, using targeted questioning and hands-on troubleshooting to keep production moving.
- Be the Night Owl Lead: This is a 100% in-person, 3rd shift role (Sun-Thurs 10:30 PM - 7:30 AM). You'll manage the overnight technical landscape independently, ensuring that morning shift walks into a stabilized environment.
- Stay Active: This isn't just a "sit-at-a-desk" job. You will be the primary on-site support for a large manufacturing facility. You should be comfortable walking up to 8,000 steps a day across the plant floor to reach users and machinery where they work.
- Hands-On Tech: You'll handle the physical side of IT, including unboxing, moving, and installing hardware. This includes the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and the agility to crawl under desks or work around manufacturing equipment to manage cabling.
- Master the Stack: Support Microsoft 365, Windows OS, peripherals (printers/scanners/monitors), and various business applications.
- Document & Improve: Since you're our eyes and ears at night, your documentation is critical. You'll create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the issues you solve, leaving things better than you found them for the day team.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who's tired of being just another cog in a massive corporate machine? Do you thrive in the quiet intensity of the night shift and want to work somewhere where your ideas actually matter?, * Experience: 2+ years in a Help Desk or Desktop Support role.
- Reliability: You are a disciplined professional who thrives in a consistent 3rd shift schedule and understands the importance of punctuality for an on-site manufacturing role.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Windows ecosystems and M365 is a must.
- Physical Stamina: You are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and staying active throughout your shift.
- Soft Skills: You're personable, empathetic, and can explain technical concepts to a 3rd shift production crew without being condescending.
- Autonomy: You enjoy working independently and have the confidence to make technical decisions when you are the sole IT person on-site.
