Job description

The Manager of IT Networking, Security, & Application Support is the authority for infrastructure and IT security for the enterprise; responsible for the strategic planning of the IT network and its Security including any written policy or procedures, leads the technical teams that support the IT technical and security infrastructure, and oversees the day-to-day IT operations along with the implementation of new IT systems which have an enterprise-wide impact.

This individual combines their knowledge of IT best practices (daily operations, security, and infrastructure) to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare and business professionals. The goal is to promote safe, effective, secure, and efficient use of IT in clinical and business settings.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

The following statements reflect the duties considered necessary to describe the essential functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in this position., ? Serves as the authority for infrastructure and IT security programs that have enterprise-wide impact and meets the requirement of the business by partnering with clinical and business leaders to identify the business requirements and their technology needs. Examples include hosting arrangements, security software, and support agreements with contracts lasting up to 5 years.

? Leads the IT staff and security team (outsourced vendors) providing policies, procedures and technologies impacting the NYMC campus.

? Sets the standards to ensure the IT infrastructure (WAN, WLAN, LAN, etc) and end user devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, etc) allow for the individuals to perform and meet expected business outcomes. Ensures supportive technologies help meet business requirements and systems goals, while fulfilling end-user requirements.

? Provides critical analysis and evaluation and recommends revision of IT infrastructure, processes, and workflow to ensure achievement of network uptime and data/network protection.

? Responsible for the review and analysis of the existing infrastructure and IT security effectiveness

and efficiency and develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. Staying current with the latest security threats and technologies and recommending purchases to Sr. Leaders.

? Oversees the analysis, documentation, and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality and/or enhancements to existing applications, infrastructure, and IT security throughout the enterprise.

? Oversees the installation of all Windows and application patches as well as vulnerability management. Ensuring that all corporate devices and servers are up to date with the latest vendor supported updates.

? Oversees the administration over domain and virtualization environments to ensure inactive devices/users are removed and systems meet corporate requirements. This includes management of active directory or azure, as well as in any virtualized environments like Citrix, Vmware, or Azure.

? Develops relationships with application and hardware vendors to ensure the Company is fully leveraging available technologies. This includes deployment of software to leverage existing technologies effectively, as well as exploring cost and adjusting agreements where necessary.

? Assists in the development of, and adheres to, policies and procedures for the technical support of applications in accordance with HIPAA and all other applicable regulatory agency requirements.

? Oversees the response to legal requests/holds and works with outside vendors and counsel to preserve and/or deliver requested emails and data.

? Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of infrastructure and security best practices to the team which may include external training.

? Overseas all NYMC Application and Software support, education, and build out plans. Will be required to review upcoming upgrades and notify the staff of any changes and downtime.

Additional Responsibilities:

? Travels to Facilities as required/assigned.

? Will pull on-call shifts during off hours and weekends as scheduled.

? Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.

? Supports and abides by NYMC's Mission, Vision, and Values.

? Performs other duties as assigned by their Supervisor/Administration Staff

Requirements

Do you have experience in Virtualization projects?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, ? Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in system configuration and leading, planning, implementing, and evaluating network infrastructure and security solutions.

? Experience in the health care industry preferred.

? Experience with a myriad of IT security domains and applications including VPN, Email Gateway, Microsoft 0365, e-discovery, vulnerability management, firewalls, NMS, SIEM, etc.

? Experience with domain management, cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, systems management, and virtualization technologies such as vmware, or citrix.

? Demonstrated supervisory experience.
