Job description

The Sportsman Gun Centre is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Technician at our Exeter based HQ. This full-time, permanent role offers the successful applicant the chance to be part of our IT and Marketing team, providing first line technical support for the industry's leading retail & distribution company., * Working alongside the IT Manager and Marketing team to provide first line support for our users from our Exeter based HQ.

  • Part of the role will involve setting up desktop PCs, laptops, managing user accounts, installing software and ensuring security & upgrades are up to date.
  • Deliver end user training and support
  • Support the head of IT with development projects, including management/ administration of in house software & databases.
  • Evaluate & test new hardware and software products before implementation.
  • When not supporting our user base, the role will involve working on our ecommerce website, supporting the marketing team and liaising with outside support companies

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical support?, Do you have a GCSE?, * You will have experience working in first line support role

  • You will have experience of working with networks, printers and Microsoft Office
  • You are used to working in a busy & professional driven environment
  • You have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service,
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server and technologies
  • Knowledge of PC maintenance/troubleshooting
  • Basic Networking knowledge
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Shooting experience and knowledge of the industry is not essential a training will be given., * GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Technical support: 2 years (required)
