Job description
Younity is growing its development team to meet the moment. As the organization responds to shifting government funding and builds a more diversified revenue base, the Development Manager will be a key partner to CEO & President in carrying forward individual giving relationships, running events, and helping translate Younity's mission into sustained philanthropic support.
Principal Responsibilities:
Individual Giving & Donor Relations
- Support the CEO in cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of individual donors, with a focus on mid-level and major gift prospects ($1,000-$25,000+)
- Conduct outreach, schedule donor meetings, prepare briefing materials, and draft personalized follow-up correspondence on behalf of leadership
- Manage acknowledgment and stewardship touchpoints for assigned donors, ensuring timely and meaningful communication throughout the year
- Assist with wealth screening data and help maintain accurate donor records in the CRM
- Track pipeline activity and provide regular reporting on cultivation progress to the CEO
- Exercises discretion and independent judgement regarding donor strategy and fundraising operations
Events Management
- Lead planning and execution of Younity's Annual Awards Dinner (AAD) and other fundraising or cultivation events
- Develops and implements fundraising initiatives with minimal supervision
- Manage vendor relationships, venue logistics, timelines, volunteer coordination, and day-of operations
- Work with the CEO and board to maximize event sponsorship revenue and track solicitation activity
- Develop and manage event budgets, post-event reconciliation, and reporting
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for new cultivation events and donor engagement programming
Fundraising Strategy & Operations
- Responsible for strategic development planning and execution
- Collaborate with the grant writer consultant on foundation pipeline management, ensuring alignment with individual and corporate giving strategies
- Support corporate giving outreach and stewardship in coordination with the CEO
- Contribute to annual fundraising planning, goal-setting, and progress tracking against targets
- Help build the infrastructure for a recurring giving program, including donor segmentation and campaign strategy
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, * Proven event management experience, including budget oversight and vendor management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write compelling donor correspondence and speak confidently on behalf of the organization
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a small team environment
- Deep alignment with Younity's mission to end domestic and sexual violence
- Knowledge of the Mercer County philanthropic community a plus
Education & Experience:
- 3-5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in individual donor engagement
- Experience with donor databases (e.g., Bloomerang, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or equivalent)
