Job description

The IT Operations Specialist supports day-to-day IT operations in a small-company, cloud-first environment, with a focus on Microsoft 365 endpoint administration and security, end-user support, business applications, and general IT troubleshooting. This role partners with the IT team and vendors to keep systems secure, stable, and well supported while helping onboard and train users as needed. The position is centered on operational execution rather than enterprise architecture design.

What You'll do

  • Support and drive day-to-day IT operations with a focus on endpoint administration, security posture, system reliability, and responsive end-user support.
  • Administer and maintain Intune, Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, and Conditional Access configurations, including enrollment, compliance, configuration profiles, security baselines, and access policies.
  • Monitor and remediate non-compliant devices, endpoint and security alerts, and recurring operational issues, delivering root-cause resolutions.
  • Support core business applications, including Salesforce, DocuSign, Deltek Vantagepoint, and Microsoft 365 administration, handling access, configuration, troubleshooting, and vendor escalations.
  • Support user lifecycle and identity administration, including onboarding/offboarding, account provisioning, access changes, device setup, and end-user support.
  • Support network, firewall, and infrastructure operations, including troubleshooting, coordination with vendors, and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Adapt to a small-company, all-hands-on-deck environment by supporting urgent issues, projects, and day-to-day IT needs as business priorities evolve.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor coordination?, * 2-4 years of experience in IT operations or systems administration.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 endpoint management, including Intune, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Defender for Endpoint, and Company Portal.
  • Experience building and enforcing device compliance, endpoint security policies, configuration profiles, and security baselines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with an ownership mindset and a focus on permanent, root-cause fixes.
  • Experience supporting network, firewall, SaaS, and business applications, including Salesforce, DocuSign, and Deltek Vantagepoint.
  • Comfort working remotely, traveling as needed, and adapting quickly as priorities change; automation or scripting experience is a plus.
