Job description

  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling surveillance footage, incident data, and investigation materials.

Responsibilities

Surveillance System Operations

  • Serve as the primary technician and administrator for all-IP camera surveillance systems across multiple properties, using Mirasys Video Management Software (VMS).
  • Monitor system health, camera status, and recording integrity within Mirasys to ensure continuous uptime and proper retention across all sites.
  • Respond to camera outages, recording failures, and VMS alerts promptly, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine audits of camera coverage, image quality, and recording schedules to confirm compliance with gaming regulatory requirements.
  • Retrieve, export, and document video footage in support of Security investigations, incident reports, and regulatory requests, maintaining proper chain of custody.

Installation, Configuration & Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and commission IP cameras (fixed, PTZ, and specialty) at existing and new property locations.
  • Administer and maintain Mirasys VMS, including server configuration, user access management, recording rules, camera onboarding, and software updates.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the surveillance network infrastructure, including PoE switches, dedicated surveillance VLANs, and IP addressing for camera systems.
  • Coordinate with the IT team on network changes, bandwidth planning, and infrastructure work that impacts surveillance systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of camera inventories, IP addressing, recording configurations, and system diagrams for all properties.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance on cameras, housings, mounts, and cabling to maximize equipment lifespan and reliability.

Compliance & Security Support

  • Ensure surveillance systems at all properties meet Kentucky Racing & Gaming Commission (KRGC) requirements for camera placement, recording retention, and auditability.
  • Maintain strict access controls and audit logs within Mirasys to prevent unauthorized access to live or recorded video.
  • Support Compliance and Security teams with AML and gaming integrity monitoring by ensuring required areas are properly covered and recorded at all times.
  • Assist with regulatory audits, internal investigations, and law enforcement requests as directed by management.

General & Administrative

  • Works closely with the IT Manager, Systems Administrator, Security, and vendors to plan and execute surveillance projects and upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare parts, tools, and surveillance equipment inventory.
  • Communicate system status, incident findings, and project updates clearly to Security personnel, management, and non-technical staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Know Your Customer (KYC) Responsibilities

  • Ensure surveillance systems covering transaction areas and guest verification zones are operational, properly configured, and meet retention requirements at all times.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Security teams to verify camera coverage and audit log configurations align with AML and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with system audits and investigations related to KYC or AML compliance as requested by management or regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain awareness of gaming regulations and AML standards as they apply to surveillance system requirements.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wrenches?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in a networking or technology-related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience administering IP-based surveillance systems.
  • Experience with Mirasys VMS or comparable enterprise video management platforms strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, PoE, VLANs, subnetting, and network switch configuration.
  • Prior experience in a gaming or similarly regulated environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic server administration is a plus.

Equipment, Software & Tools

· Proven proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

· Must be able to use tools such as drills/screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.

· Familiarity with Audio/Video systems is a plus.

· Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.

Licensing & Certifications

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain KHRC Licensing on an annual basis.
  • Mirasys or equivalent VMS platform certification preferred.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+ is a plus.

Working Environment

  • Primarily indoor, climate-controlled areas including control rooms, server rooms, and casino floor across multiple properties.
  • Possible exposure to cigar/cigarette smoke in smoking sections of the facility.
  • May require work at heights on ladders or lifts when installing or servicing cameras.
  • Occasional travel between properties required.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Must be able to move equipment using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment.
  • Must be able to maintain sustained focus and attention during monitoring and diagnostic tasks., * High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • CCTV: 2 years (Required)
  • installation and maintenance of electronics: 2 years (Required)
