Dean Warehouse Services, Inc. is a fast paced and rapidly growing company servicing its customers with world class services through its implementation of IT systems. The System Administrator will work directly with our WMS, TMS, EDI / API, Firewall, Infrastructure, financial, VMWare, and all related systems. Under the leadership of the Information Technology director, the candidate will have the opportunity to be involved with each facet of our 100% internal IT systems. The System Administrator will support our internal team members and our external customers by providing excellent written, verbal, and technical support for all related systems and equipment.
In this role, you will be challenged to use your problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions. You will apply your technical skill and knowledge to better the day to day operations of the company and all our team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordination between operation groups, teams, and leaders to gather information needed to complete projects.
- Assist in developing and implementing IT procedures, policies, and training for the various systems under the control of IT.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and facility personnel.
- Provide operational support for hardware, software, and various other components in support of IT operations.
- Manage configurations and maintain systems documentation.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, software, and equipment errors identified by internal users.
- Work in conjunction with the Information Technology director for hardware and software vendors regarding resolution of application bugs and other systems issues.
- Share in providing off hour support for systems and applications as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with world class systems including Synapse WMS, Ramp EDI / API, VMWare Clusters supporting a nation-wide, multi-facility environment.
- Some local (within state) travel required.
- Occasional non-local (out of state) travel may be required.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, · 5-7 years of experience as a System Administrator in a 3PL, logistics, or supply chain environment.
· Strong understanding of 3PL operational workflows and systems
· Hands-on experience with:
ü EDI integrations and mapping
ü API integrations (REST/SOAP)
ü Transportation Management Systems (TMS) as well as FedEx Ship Manager and UPS Wordship.
ü Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
ü Active Directory and Office 365 admin center.
ü Crystal Report
ü Oracle Database administration and support
· Strong SQL and Oracle DB troubleshooting skills
· Experience with system monitoring, issue resolution, and production support
· Understanding of networking, Firewall, servers 2022 & 2025, and enterprise infrastructure like VMware and Veeam
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
