Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Support Technician to join our technology team! In this role, you will be the frontline hero for resolving technical issues, supporting users, and maintaining our IT infrastructure.   • Troubleshoot software problems, including applications like Microsoft Office, and assist with operating system issues on Windows and macOS devices.
  • Manage computer hardware setups, upgrades, and repairs, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Assist with computer networking tasks such as configuring LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and firewall settings to maintain secure connectivity.
  • Support IT infrastructure management by utilizing tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPO (Group Policy Objects), Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
  • Monitor and maintain network devices including Meraki routers/switches and ensure optimal network performance through regular analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Use help desk tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and others to track incidents, manage tickets, and document resolutions efficiently.
  • Conduct user training sessions on operating systems, security best practices, and mobile device management to enhance overall IT literacy within the organization.
  • Collaborate with network administration teams to oversee LAN/WAN configurations and troubleshoot connectivity issues promptly.
  • Assist in deploying security measures such as firewall configurations and VPN access controls to safeguard company data.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven experience in providing IT support or desktop support within a corporate environment.

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11), macOS, and Linux distributions.
  • Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques for common applications like Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, LAN/WAN architecture, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices.
  • Experience with IT management tools including SCCM, GPOs, Active Directory, Windows Server environments, and BMC Remedy or ServiceNow ticketing systems.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues quickly using strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication skills for user interaction.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) solutions for smartphones and tablets is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco CCNA are preferred but not required.
