Electro Controls specializes in the integration, programming, installation, and support of Building Automation Systems that control HVAC equipment, energy management systems, and smart building technologies across commercial facilities throughout Montana.
This role blends elements of:

What You'll Do
- Configure and integrate smart building control systems
- Assist with programming and commissioning Building Automation Systems
- Develop graphical user interfaces for facility operators
- Troubleshoot system communications and network issues
- Work with HVAC equipment, sensors, and control devices
- Support startup and testing of automation systems
- Collaborate with experienced System Integrators, technicians, engineers, and project managers
- Learn industry communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus
- Interface with customer IT departments regarding networking and connectivity
Requirements
Do you have experience in Customer communication?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Electro Controls, a Montana-based commercial Building Automation and Controls contractor, is seeking a motivated and technology-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Automation Technology Specialist.
This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with strong technical aptitude and interest in programming, networking, automation, and smart building technology. Prior Building Automation experience is not required - we are willing to train the right candidate., * Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, Networking, Automation, Robotics, Electrical Technology, or similar technical field preferred
- Strong computer and troubleshooting skills
- Interest in programming, systems integration, or automation technology
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Ability to learn technical systems quickly
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and team-oriented mindset
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with programming or scripting
- Experience with graphics or UI development
- Familiarity with Java, Python, HTML, or similar technologies
- Understanding of IP networking
- Interest in automation, robotics, IoT, or smart building technology

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8am-5pm
Work Location: In person - Missoula, Montana
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
