Job description

Varian Medical Systems, a Siemens Healthineers company is seeking an experienced SAP ME/MII Expert to design, implement, support, and optimize manufacturing execution and integration solutions within a complex production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME) and SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII), with hands-on experience integrating shop floor systems, SAP ECC, and manufacturing equipment. This position is designed to be onsite in Palo Alto, California

What You will do:

  • Design, configure, develop, and support SAP ME and SAP MII solutions for manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between SAP ME/MII and SAP ECC.
  • Support machine and shop floor equipment integration using industrial communication standards and APIs.
  • Create and optimize SQL and SAP HANA database queries, procedures, and reports.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, reports, and analytics solutions for manufacturing operations.
  • Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs for system integrations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis for manufacturing system incidents.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support deployment, testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and recommend best practices for digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including MES, ERP, automation, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, * 5+ years of experience in SAP ME/MII implementations or support roles

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • SAP ME
  • SAP MII
  • SAP ECC integration
  • Machine/shop floor integration
  • SQL and SAP HANA queries
  • API integration and development
  • Manufacturing analytics and reporting
  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and MES concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team-oriented environments.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

What will set You apart:

  • Experience in discrete or process manufacturing environments
  • Experience with the following technologies:
  • ABAP
  • SAP PP/MM
  • SAP Digital Manufacturing
  • Familiarity with:
  • OPC, PCo, MQTT, or other industrial connectivity technologies
  • SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM)
  • SAP BTP integrations
  • Web technologies such as JavaScript, XML, JSON, or HTML5
  • Experience with production support and global manufacturing deployments.
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and smart factory initiatives

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
