Job description
The Information Systems Analyst is a member of the Information Technology department of the Bankruptcy Clerk's Office. The incumbent is responsible for Linux system and database administration to support the Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system. The incumbent reports to the Information Technology Manager., * CM/ECF: Maintain the availability, integrity, and security of the court's CM/ECF system, including the Linux OS, Informix database, and Public Terminal kiosk. Manage backups, recovery, and replication through regularly scheduled testing. Plan and manage periodic upgrades to the CM/ECF environment (and ancillary applications) as required.
- LINUX: Configure and integrate Linux (RHEL, Debian, Fedora) systems and servers in a fully virtualized environment (VMware/Proxmox). Monitor and maintain the licensing, availability and security of all Linux servers and related resources. Verify completion of scheduled backups and scripted monitoring tasks. Bash scripting experience and programming knowledge is a plus.
- SERVERS: Create, maintain and support Informix and MySQL databases and servers. Create, maintain and support web servers using Apache/Tomcat. Create, maintain and support application servers and containers (docker/podman/LXC). Experience with Glassfish, PHP, and Java is a plus.
- SECURITY: Administer national IT security policies and guidance with procedures that adhere to the court's IT security framework. Identify potential vulnerabilities to existing and proposed technologies. Implement effective mechanisms and procedures to mitigate risks and threats. Configure and manage tools to identify vulnerabilities.
- SUPPORT: Maintain VMs and servers hosting court applications. Assist end users with "level 2/escalated" troubleshooting related to Windows 11, MacOS, Office 365, Acrobat and other productivity apps. Assist with courtroom process and technology, including by troubleshooting audiovisual equipment and configuration. Enterprise Audiovisual experience is a plus (AMX platform).

Requirements
Do you have experience in Linux support?, The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three year's experience in Linux system administration. A college degree from an accredited college or university is preferred., Additional experience in Informix database administration, CM/ECF, Quest KACE K1000, Splunk Enterprise, and Nessus Vulnerability Scanning is preferred. Familiarity with BASH, yum, rpm and kickstart is a plus. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with certifications in any of the following: Redhat, Networking, Virtualization or Security., The selected candidate will be subject to a criminal history and financial background investigations by law enforcement agencies, which include FBI fingerprinting as a condition of employment. The applicant must be a United States citizen or a lawful permanent resident (i.e., green card holder) who is seeking citizenship. Retention depends upon a favorable suitability determination.

*The classification level and salary for this position will be based upon experience and education in accordance with the Court Personnel System of the U.S. Courts., Court employees are not included in the government's civil service classification. They are, however, entitled to the same benefits as other federal employees, including up to 13 days of paid annual leave per year for the first three years, thereafter up to 26 days per year, 11 federal holidays, participation in the Federal Employees Retirement System with a percent of contributions matched, choice of health benefit plan from several options, life insurance, and periodic salary increases.
