Job description

As an Associate SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Engineer, your focus is on designing, implementing, configuring, and deploying SCADA systems in an automotive manufacturing environment. You will participate in deploying our standard SCADA solution to new manufacturing lines and implement new features to adjust these standard solutions to local requirements. You will also cooperate with other teams of engineers on developing, training, and troubleshooting tasks in their domain. What You'll Do

  • Meeting with various manufacturing teams and supporting them in getting their SCADA system running
  • Developing, maintaining and troubleshooting Python scripts and SQL queries
  • Troubleshooting device connection issues, and other system integration issues
  • Coordinating tasks with Controls Engineers and track progress in Jira
  • Working with a wide array of technologies from equipment PLCs / robots to high level IT applications and systems
  • Investigating documented and undocumented systems to understand their functionality
  • Prioritizing tasks on time requirement and urgency
  • Planning and executing projects that interface with different teams and technologies
  • Visualizing live data and presenting historical data for easy consumption by the end user

Requirements

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Solid knowledge and working experience with Python

  • Comfortable with JSON structures
  • Basic familiarity with CSS and HTML
  • Basic SQL experience
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Networking and general IT knowledge
  • Ability to work on their own to find answers and solutions
  • Good documentation skills for work performed, how to guides, tutorials, etc.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Ignition experience preferred but not necessary
  • Ignition Core or Gold Certification preferred but not necessary
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or the equivalent in working experience
