Job description
You join the Portal team, the team responsible for the customer facing platform that operators and clients use every day. You work closely with the Product Owner, Product Designer and backend developers.
The Portal team moves fast and thinks big. We are modernising the frontend architecture, integrating AI into daily development workflows and constantly improving how users interact with our platform. We are not looking for someone who only writes code tickets and disappears again. We need someone who understands the bigger picture, sees patterns, challenges assumptions and helps shape where the product should go next. There is a lot of freedom in this role, but also a lot of ownership. People here get space to explore ideas, improve workflows and make decisions. That only works if you communicate clearly, think proactively and take responsibility for the impact of your work.
Our Tech Stack
The Deftpower platform is built in C#/.NET. We are heavily using Azure Functions to keep our platform as scalable as possible. We adopt a microservice architecture where services communicate with each other mainly via the Azure Service Bus. Data storage is done in a variety of ways, but Cosmos and Azure SQL databases are used most. Monitoring and logging is done with Application Insights and Grafana as well as PowerBI dashboards. The portal that interacts with the backend is written in Angular, while our mobile applications are developed in React Native. In general, we use Azure's PaaS components wherever possible to stay up to date and ready for scale.
About the job
As Frontend Developer at Deftpower you help shape the future of smart charging across Europe. You do not just build interfaces. You think about how people actually use a product, where things become confusing and how technology can make the experience simpler and smarter. AI will change how software gets built. We want someone who already understands that shift and knows where frontend development is heading next.
- Build scalable frontend applications with Angular 20 and help evolve our frontend architecture
- Translate ideas and product concepts into clear implementation plans together with Product and Design
- Use AI tools and workflows as a natural part of development and experimentation
- Think beyond tickets and challenge solutions when there is a smarter or simpler way
- Improve user flows, usability and frontend quality with a strong product mindset
- Work closely with Jelte as Team Lead, Product, Design and Backend teams to turn ideas into real features people actually use
Requirements
Do you have experience in Usability?, You are not the type of developer who waits for perfectly written tickets before getting started. You enjoy figuring things out, connecting dots and turning rough ideas into concrete solutions. You like ownership, ask critical questions and naturally think about the user experience while building.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in frontend development
- You have strong experience with Angular 20 and modern frontend architecture
- You already use AI tooling in your daily workflow or are deeply interested in where AI driven development is heading
- You can zoom out from implementation details and think in concepts, flows and product impact
- You think about UX naturally while developing and ask yourself things like "does this actually make sense for the user?"
- You are proactive, independent and comfortable in an environment where not everything is fully figured out yet.
- You are a match with our values!, You love turning ideas into action. You take ownership, push projects forward and get energy from creating solutions that actually work in the real world.
Earnest
You do the right thing, especially when no one's watching. You're respectful, honest and reliable, colleagues know they can count on you.
Forward thinking
You're curious and not afraid to try new things. You experiment, learn fast and spot opportunities before others see them coming. Calculated risks? You're in.
Transparency
You believe sharing is power. You communicate openly, give constructive feedback and make your work visible so the whole team can grow together.
