Cloud Security Engineer

• Own and manage cloud security operations in Microsoft Azure
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
• Develop and optimize KQL queries for threat detection and investigation
• Implement and manage identity and access security using Entra ID (Conditional Access, PIM, RBAC)
• Strengthen network security through NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, and DNS controls
• Conduct incident investigations, ensuring all relevant details are uncovered
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., MSSPs)
• Contribute to threat modeling and security improvement initiatives
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment

Do you have experience in Security?, This is a hands-on role, where independence, accountability, and clear communication are key. You are detail-oriented and disciplined, with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to stay level-headed under pressure. Naturally curious, you enjoy investigating incidents and getting to the root of issues, while maintaining a true "guardian of security" mindset. You communicate effectively, clearly presenting options and solutions to support informed decision-making.

To be successful in this role, you have:

• AZ-500 certified (non-negotiable)
• 3+ years hands-on in Azure security
• Strong with:

• Microsoft Sentinel & Defender
• KQL
• Entra ID security controls

• Comfortable working independently and owning your domain
• Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
