Job description
The Quality Assurance and Data Specialist is responsible for Medicaid billing and maintaining the data management and quality assurance of the organization while supporting the agency's mission, philosophy, and values by exhibiting excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, personalization, commitment to the communities and people served, and accountability and ownership., This position will be centered around supporting the organization through third-party billing, data management, and data control. This includes but is not limited to:
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Process, track, complete and submit a variety of third-party billings such as Medicaid reimbursement claims.
- Receives, reviews, and interprets external payor reports on an ongoing basis and makes changes accordingly
- Interfaces with program staff, managers, and external payor staff on an ongoing basis to discuss billing processes, errors, remediation etc., as necessary and appropriate.
- Conduct and monitor internal audits for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual external reporting.
- Maintain, collect, and monitor essential data required by funding entities, company policies and procedures, and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports pertaining to such matters as third-party billings, productivity reports, quality assurance reports, etc.
- Participate in various monitoring and auditing processes with administrative staff and external stakeholders
- Provide mental health services, case management and community support to individuals
- Work with a variety of database systems such as Medicaid billing sites, clearing houses, and case management.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Associate's degree in bookkeeping, accounting or medical billing with 1-year relevant experience OR
- 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping/third-party billing experience AND High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with computerized accounting and billing systems
- Strong computer, Microsoft Office, and organizational skills
