Job description
Novate is currently looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team at our location in West Sacramento, CA. This individual must have the ability to be client facing, have general awareness of multiple industrial environments, provide support initiative and be extremely organized. The ideal individual is curious with an investigative mindset, wants to resolve complex issues and problems, is a team player and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The IT Helpdesk Technician is the main point of contact for all IT related questions at the user level. This includes responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other duties. Work can include installing wired/wireless networks, security and phone systems., * Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for problem resolution.

Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.

Installing and configuring hardware and software components.

Repairing or replacing damaged computer hardware.

Establishing good relationships with clients and colleagues.

Managing technical documentation.

Keeping accurate and detailed descriptions of services performed.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Be a self-starter, driven to take initiative and is highly self-motivated.
- Be well organized with attention to detail and time management skills.
- Have the ability to work independently., * Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Technical Support: Proficiency in providing technical assistance to users, including remote desktop operations.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with operating systems (Windows), office software (Microsoft Office, M365, Azure, Google Workspace), and specialized software.
- Network Knowledge: Understanding of network printers, computer systems, and basic networking concepts.
- Routine Maintenance: Skills in performing routine maintenance on workstations and peripheral devices.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities to handle various technical issues.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Education:
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and/or industry experience.
License/Certifications:
- Valid CA driver's license, * Communication

- Work Independently
Physical Demands:
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Travel Requirement:
- Ability to travel to other Novate or Client site 10% of the time.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- Ability to pass a DOD security level background check.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident.
